UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE AT MARTIN

The 900 acre campus of the University of Tennessee at Martin, www.utm.edu, (which is part of the University of Tennessee system) includes a 700-acre farm, a research unit of the University of Tennessee Agricultural Experiment Station. Enrollment is approximately 6,900.

UT Martin offers 17 undergraduate degree programs, which are supported by more than 100 specialized programs, and six Masters degree programs.

The University of Tennessee at Martin also has an Office of Extended Campus and Continuing Education. Through this office, the University offers both degree and non-degree courses on a wide array of subjects. The University also offers one of the only totally online undergraduate degree programs in the State of Tennessee, the Online Bachelor of University Studies degree program, where all courses can be taken over the Internet and some course credit is given for life experience.

In addition to providing West Tennessee with an institution of higher education, the University of Tennessee at Martin offers many cultural advantages to the city and area. Nationally known entertainment groups perform at the University's Fine Arts Building. The West Tennessee Agriculture Pavilion serves as a convention center, hosting a variety of events ranging from rodeos and national horse shows to food fairs and a Christmas Village.

VOCATIONAL/TECHNICAL

The State of Tennessee has comprehensive Technology Center campuses within a 30 minute drive in McKenzie and Paris. Courses offered include Automotive Technology, Welding Technology, Computer Operations Technology, Nursing, Industrial Maintenance, Electronics Technology, Machine Tool Technology and Business Systems Technology. A branch of the McKenzie Technology Center in Martin offers courses in Business Systems Technology, Nursing, and Industrial Maintenance.
