WORKFORCE SERVICES
The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development's office in Dresden offers comprehensive services to employers, including the Job Service Program, which can save an employer both time and money in locating qualified applicants. The Department draws from the largest computer-based job application pools in the state.
The Local Workforce Investment Act Board is also available in Weakley County. The Workforce Investment Act Area 11 programs for Weakley County are administered by the Southwest Human Resource Agency. The programs include customized training and the On-the-Job Training Program whereby 50% of an employee's wages are reimbursed to the employer during a predetermined training period. The length of training depends on the skill level of the job.
